Navarasa (Nine Emotions) is an Indian anthology series created by Mani Ratnam who co-produced the series with Jayendra Panchapakesan through their respective banners Madras Talkies and Qube Cinema Technologies. The series features nine separate episodes based on the Indian concept of Navarasana, Priyadarshan, Karthik Subbaraj, Vasanth, Arvind Swamy, Bijoy Nambiar, Karthik Narain, Gautam Vasudev Menon, Sarjun KM and Rathindran R. Filmed by Prasad. It stars Karthik Subbaraj, Vasanth, Arvind Swami, Bejoy Nambiar, Karthick Naren, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Sarjun KM and Rathindran R. Prasad. It stars an ensemble cast of Suriya, Vijay Sethupathi, Siddharth, Revathi, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Prayaga Martin, Arvind Swami, Prasanna, Poorna, Delhi Ganesh, Rohini, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Yogi Babu, Remya Nambeesan, Aditi Balan, Bobby Simha, Riythvika, Sree Raam, Atharvaa, Anjali, Kishore amongst others.

The idea for the series arose when Mani Ratnam and Jayendra were working for social causes, and planned to run a program for streaming service to help day laborers and other members of the South Indian Film Employees Federation (FEFSI), by raising funds through this project, to catch the COVID-19 epidemic. The company, which marks the digital launch of Mani Ratnam and the Madras Talkies production studio, has teamed up with FEFSI and Bhumika Trust for fundraising activities. Following the official announcement in October 2020, the production of the short film-episodes began the same month and ended in March 2021, with the cast and crew working on the film, including directors, writers, composers, cinematographers and editors. Three films proposed by directors Halita Shamim, Ponram and KV Anand were dropped during the production phase.

The most anticipated Tamil projects in the Navaratha streaming service working with stars, technicians and directors and advertising campaigns. The series was released on August 6, 2021 by Netflix.
